Sony Ericsson K850i announced

Sony Ericsson K850iThe new Cybershot K850i is a stunning 5.0 megapixel camera phone. The camera has an auto focus lens, a Xenon flash and there is a lens cover to keep out the dust when the camera isn’t being used. Like its predecessors the K800i and K810i the K850i has a range of top end quality picture options built in. A built in application called photo fix allows you to improve under exposed shots on the phone and best pic takes 9 shots in quick succession, allowing you to choose the best image to keep.

Aside from the Camera the Sony Ericsson K850i is packed with all the features you would expect from a high end phone. You can post your favourite pictures straight to your blog with the built in blogging application, there is an email client, support for Bluetooth 2.0, RSS feeds and a full web browser.

The K850i has 40MB of internal memory with support for the Sony Memory Stick Micro which currently supports extra capacity up to 2GB

The Sony Ericsson K850i supports 3G and HSDPA, offering 3G Broadband download speeds on your phone. There is also the standard features you’d expect from the latest Sony Ericsson mobile phones; quad band GSM, tri band 3G connectivity and support for EDGE.

  1. sadly, the lens cover on the prototype K850i does not protect against dust - it is covered itself by some glass cover

  5. I heard it will be released in tme for Xmas; possibly October / November, but certainly in time for Xmas.

    Long time to wait huh; I have been offered an free upgrade by o2 & was waiting for it; think I may wait for the Nokia 6500 which is due out in only a week or so.
