Since taking the mobile phone industry by storm at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last week, Sony Ericsson raised the excitement surrounding the first 12 Megapixel camera phone further by releasing a trailer showing off the Idou and its new open source Symbian interface. Though still some time off launch (and still without an official name), the Idou got tongues wagging with a feature list that looked, well, quite simply, unbelievable. 12.1 Megapixel camera, 3.5 inch touchscreen, all new Symbian platform, HSDPA, GPS; this is just the bits we know with Sony Ericsson apparently still holding back on a few exciting details. But enough idle chit chat, Sony Ericsson have now launched a demo video showing off the new Symbian UI and, if this video is to be believed, looks to run smoother and faster than anything we’ve ever seen before. So go on, take a look. If you like what you see be sure to click here to register for Idou updates.
