Nokia 5530 XpressMusic: Home Screen DemoJuly 14, 2009 at 9:21 am by Dan | In Coming Soon Handsets, Mobile News, Mobile PhonesWhen the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic was first announced back in June, one of the key features that Nokia were keen to point out was the new scrolling contacts bar that sits at the top of the home screen. Put simply, the scrolling contacts bar acts as a kind of ‘favourites’ list, letting you add up to 20 people from your contacts and add a photo of the person. Fill it with all your most frequently used contacts or just add all your best looking friends, the choice is yours. We were keen to see how this worked in the flesh so to speak, and Nokia have duly obliged, releasing a video demoing that exact feature. The demo video also shows off the 5530’s social networking credentials (like an N97 Lite) letting you add web feeds (such as Facebook) to your contacts so you can connect and get all the latest updates, from status changes to new photos that have been uploaded. Check out the demonstration in the video below and click here to register for updates for the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic which is set to launch in August. WOW this is a cool welcome feature.I think it is also going to release for 5800 in the next firmware update.
Nokia 5530 looks more attractive than 5800 and is more slimmer.I am planning to buy it as it seems the cheapest touchscreen phone offering so many features present in 5800.

Be really careful - this phone is full of bugs! Mine lasted 2 weeks before the home screen failed to respond for shortcuts and basic functions like an onscreen dial. Without the onscreen dial you cannot do a hard reset, and no amount of re installing the software or factory reset works. Nokia are as much help as usual…… Shame a it has the potential to be a nice little number.
