We were first officially introduced to BlackBerry OS 6 back in April when RIM, the guys behind BlackBerry smartphones and the OS itself, announced the update and were showing off a teaser video sporting some silky touchscreen skills. At the time we merely saw this as an update for the next member of the Storm family, BlackBerry’s range of touchscreen mobile phones. But, with rumours now rife that a BlackBerry Tablet is on the cards, could the updated OS be destined for the hotly tipped 7 inch iPad rival?
BlackBerry are still yet to release an official changelog for the updated OS so we are still in the dark in terms of exactly what the update will bring with it. What we do know so far is that BlackBerry 6 will sport an all new home screen, web browser, re-skinned media player, multi-touch support and, from this latest video, deeper social networking integration and universal search. No word on any devices running Blackberry OS6, be it smartphones or tablets, but BlackBerry will have to spill the beans sooner or later so be sure to check back on the Blog for all the latest news. And in the mean time, check out the video below for the latest sneak peak at BlackBerry OS 6.
