Toshiba announced today the release of the G450 which is a USB Modem using HSDPA. However it has the added bonus of being able to make and receive phone calls and also send and receive texts. It also has an MP3 player and USB storage.
The G450 plugs into any USB socket and provides mobile broadband through its 3G/HSDPA mobile networks or it EDGE/GPRS connections. You can literally just plug in the USB and surf the Net, and if your phone rings, you can answer it and stay connected when using your 3G/HSDPA.
The USB modem comes complete with all the key functions of a phone, including voice calling, SMS messaging and an alarm clock. The USB storage allows for approximately 160 MB of data, which means you can fit lots of songs on there to listen to through the MP3 player. The G450 comes in white, red or black. Takashi Okamoto, Deputy MD of Toshiba said
