In the news today: 13 year old Morgan Pozgar won $25,000 for typing the word supercalifragilisticexpialadocious in just 15 seconds, as part of LG‘s National Texter Championship. In the photo she seems to be using some sort of HTC MDA device, with a slide-out keypad, but we think it must have been done on a traditional mobile phone keypad.
This reminded me of something my colleague Jay said the other day, that his N95 ‘Multimedia Computer’ didn’t need a full keyboard like my P990i because he could use the numeric pad just as quickly.

I have to say I’m quite pleased my time was 24.5 seconds instead of anything lower. I think that demonstrates I have time in my life for something other than writing text messages.
And no, I’m not bitter…
she’s using the LG VX9800 – “The V” which is similar to the LG VX9900 – “The EnV”, both have full keyboard underneath
