Well, the Sony Ericsson W880i is now already available and ready to buy with 6 months half price line rental on T-Mobile.

The W880i is the slimmest Walkman phone yet to be released by Sony Ericsson, measuring in at 9.5mm thick. The W880i has the latest version Walkman player built in, which supports album art. There is a lot crammed in to an amazingly small phone. The W880i is a 3G phone, allowing for fast downloads of music and other files, there is support for video calling, and the W880i has a built in 2.0 megapixel camera.

The web browser on the W880 is one of the best seen on a non smartphone. The screen offers amazing clarity, and scrolling is done via the four way joypad. Although the design of the keys on the phone would suggest those of us with large fingers will have difficulty using the handset, this is in fact not the case. Although small, the keys are well spaced out and offer good feedback.

One of the best features of the W880i is support for Sony Ericsson song recognition. If you are listening to a music track and you want to know who sang it/what album it is from, etc, all you need do is activate the song recognition application and record a snippet from the song to the phone. The phone will then send this snippet to the Sony Ericsson site where it is tagged and the information is sent back to you. The service is free, the only cost to you is the data transfer sending the song information to Sony Ericsson. And if you have Web n Walk on your tariff, that cost is all covered.
