With very little difference in pricing plans for the iPhone (literally a matter of pennies) it is down to network specific offerings to create distinction between operators; and it seems that it’s not only Vodafone who have a few surprises lined up for iPhone users. Orange has just announced that it’s incredibly popular Orange Wednesdays is now to be joined by an iPhone application.
The app will let pull in film listings, local cinema information, reviews and even stream movie trailers. On top of that, it will also allow display the “two for one” code, that has become so popular with Orange customers; without the need to do anything more than simply press a button and show the cinema staff the code. Another cool function of the app lets you instantly message your friend with the time and the place of the film.
Already tired into an O2 contract and fancy getting in on this action, well, you can. Although, while the Orange Wednesdays app is available to O2 customers, it will disable the ability to claim the two for one offer, but having cinema listings, reviews and local information easily accessible through one application is hardly something to scoff at.
The app is available directly from the app store. Keep an eye on the blog for all things mobile.
