Aiming to deliver a desktop experience in a portable device, the upcoming Nokia N900 certainly set itself a difficult task. But whilst we’ll reserve judgment until we can get our hands on one to review, the latest video sporting the phone-come-internet tablet suggests Nokia have hit the nail on the head. The video in question shows off the N900 indulging in a spot of web browsing. Not with any old web browser though, but a purpose built Firefox web browser designed by Mozilla (Firefox’s creators). Anyone familiar with Firefox on a PC or Laptop will extol the virtues of tabbed browsing and customisable shortcuts but surely these kind of features are far too complex for a mobile phone right?! Wrong! Check out the Maemo 5 powered Nokia N900 running a Firefox browser effortlessly. Expected to be available in December, this should coincide nicely with the launch of the Nokia N900 here in the UK. Keep an eye on the blog for more info as and when we get it.
