The KU990 (Which will be known as the U990 on the Three UK network) records video at an impressive 120 frames per second, which will allow for super slow motion video playback of recorded clips. Upload of recorded videos to YouTube has also been enabled, allowing users to upload video using a single-click connection. The screen is a full 3” 400 x 240 pixel, 22k colour affair, the KU990 supports video calling, plays an array of digital music formats and also includes a full web browser. It is expected there will be around 170MB of internal user memory, with support for Micro SD cards. This is a great idea by LG as there is one part of the market that the Iphone does not take full advantage of and that is a good solid camera. The Iphone pales in comparisson to the 5 MP LG, but you have to ask your self the question will the hype of the Iphone overcome all?

I’ve had my Viewty for a week now… and, have read the manual!
The Pluses:
The camera side competes with any pocket sized digital camera I’ve owned to date. The Panoramic function is very impressive and useful.
The Not So Goods:
I have not been able to personalise the desktop beyond the wallpaper. As an ex Motorola A1000 owner 2 years ago I would have expected this functionality to be standard, after all, it is a software not hardware inclusion.
The Really Unimpressed:
There does not appear to be any Voice Dialing capability to this phone. Although it connects to my Bluetooth Parrot (in car kit), I am unable to initiate a call handsfree. This is a must have primary requirement for any phone in the UK and must be addressed. As with my second comment, software not hardware will fix this.
The Disclaimer:
As a Viewty novice I accept I may be wrong and welcome any feedback or instruction. I’d be happier being wrong on any of these points, especially if it meant I’d have the functionality sooner.
However, if I am correct, please LG, fix these issues without delay and send me a link to the download!
