Free Text The World Friday!

Vodafone has announced that today, the 20th November is to be Free Text The World Friday, but, before you go getting all excited, planning who you will be texting to make the most of this, there are a couple of rather fundamental catches. The key to the first catch, is in the word “world”, as it would seem that Vodafone does not include the UK as part of this “world.” The free texts on apply for UK users texting loved ones abroad and do not apply to SMS messages sent to users in the UK.

The second catch? Well, the free texts also do not apply to anyone with a UK mobile living/traveling abroad. What this promotion does allow you to do however, is to text any non-UK resident, with a non-UK based phone, for free, all day long. To be fair to Vodafone, it is a very generous offer; applying to both Pay As You Go customers and Pay Monthly, but it is just a shame that it applies to such a small niche within the market.

To qualify for these free texts? Just simply pick up your Vodafone phone, type out your text and send away.
