Boasting around 1.7 million sales worldwide in its opening weekend, you don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to deduce that the launch of the iPhone 4 has been a phenomenal success. So, why, three weeks after the iPhone 4 launch, are Apple holding a press conference focusing on their flagship device? Well, all will be revealed tomorrow.

Apple have been sending out invites to select members of the press and whilst our post box remains decidedly empty (Steve, what gives?!) we’ll still be on hand to give you all the gory details. Until then, we can only speculate about the nature of the press conference. Could Apple be about to act on the negative publicity surrounding the antenna issues found in the iPhone 4? And if so, how? Surely a product recall would be far too heavy handed but perhaps Apple will remedy the signal problems with a software update. We have seen that iOS 4.1is now in Beta texting with developers so this certainly looks more than likely.
