New images showing rumored iPhone 5 pictures have been the subject of two stories over the last week with fans wondering how the new iPhone is going to look.
Back on Thursday two cases were revealed for the new generation of the iPhone, how exactly the case manufacturer knew the design is still unclear but they are confident enough in their prediction to start producing the cases ready for the new iPhone.
The case indicated a much larger screen up to 4 inches which would compete with handsets such as the Samsung Galaxy S2 and HTC Sensation. In order to keep the handset the same size however it appears as though the handset will have no bezel on the left or right hand side of the screen. As a result of the larger screen the home button may be sacrificed for a touch sensitive panel/button but this remains to be seen.
The phone would also be a similar size to the iPhone 4 but get back the rounded design of the iPhone 3GS on both the back and front. Gizmodo this week were handed a handset that is supposedly a “clone” of the next generation iPhone. The iPhone copy is claimed to have come from Shenzhen in China which is the same location where the iPhone 5 is being created. The most compelling evidence that the handset is the real deal is that it fits the cases which had been leaked only a few days earlier. Although this seems a bit far fetched the copyright laws in china are not as strongly enforced as they are in the UK and a carbon copy of the design wouldn’t be beyond believable.
This isn’t a sure thing like last year when Gizmodo picked up a pre-production iPhone 4 but looking at the level of finish on this clone it does make you think. Either way we’ll know for sure in the next few months once the iPhone 5 release date UK is announced as Apple will be dying to get a new product available for all of the iPhone 4 customers now due an upgrade.
