It would appear Nokia are as loose lipped as Samsung at the moment as the Finns have also let slip about an upcoming product on the Ovi Store support site. Details are thin on the ground at present with all we have to go on based purely on one image but as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. The device in question, the Nokia 5250, is a touchscreen candy-bar phone that looks set to join the 5800, 5230 and 5530 family of music-centric touchscreen devices.
And that’s it. That’s all we know about this as yet unannounced phone. Still, from the image we can assume the 5250 will sport a touchscreen somewhere in the region of 2.8-3 inches and 3 physical buttons that sit underneath. If the 5250 keeps the family tradition, we can also expect Symbian smartphone functionality but as for 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi and the like, this all depends on where the 5250 will sit in the range.
From the image, my money’s on the 5250 entering Nokia’s touchscreen portfolio as the entry-level device but all will be revealed in the coming weeks. Keep an eye on the Blog and we’ll let you know as soon as Nokia go public with the 5250. Image courtesy of GSMArena.com.
