The handsets shown in the picture are rumoured to be the next handsets in the Sony Ericsson Walkman range. The Sony Ericsson AI, expected to be called Sony Ericsson W880 at release. Details on specification are sketchy, but judging by the fact that there is a front facing camera it should be safe to assume the W880 will support 3G. The one point that is almost certain is the handset will be just 9.4mm thin. Has to be said, the overall design of the handsets is nothing special, even a bit bland. Will be interesting to see how the final release shapes up spec wise.

Sony Ericsson Z310

December 5, 2006 at 2:33 pm by Jay | In Mobile News

sony-ericsson-z610i-group (WinCE).jpgSony Ericsson have announced the Z310, a phone to reflect style whether you are at work or at play.

The phone has a flawless, polished finish. An integrated display is hidden discretely below the surface. There are icons on the display to indicate whether a call or message has been received. You can assign coloured lighting effects to contacts in the phone book and the phone will light up accordingly depending on who is calling.

The Z310 supports direct uploads to the blogger service, but only incorporates a VGA camera so picture quality will be barely adequate for viewing online. The Triband handset is due to launch in Q1 2007

Windows Live Messenger for Mobile Browsers

December 4, 2006 at 3:52 pm by Jay | In Mobile Phone Applications

It is now possible to access Windows Live messenger through your phone’s web browser. This will benefit many phone users who are not able to install the application files to their handsets.

The URL to type into your phone browser is http://mobile.live.com/wlm/imsi.aspx

It’s a handy feature to have access to but can be annoying if you use a handset that doesn’t allow you to minimise the web window for access to text, calls, etc.
